GreenStone Media was formed by private investors I the summer of 2005 to investigate and deliver on an outlet for a “new voice” for radio listeners. As Gloria Steinem, and original member of the group, said, Talk radio is dominated with angry and divisive voices, “we would like to offer more light and less heat.” GreenStone was women’s radio by and for women AND open minded thinking listeners who wanted something smart, funny, and informative. Listeners raved about the programming and advertisers made commitments beyond the size of the audience. Jim oversaw the operational aspects of the network which included the programming, affiliate acquisition, engineering and facilities and more. The network was an entrepreneurial adventure that broke new ground and changed a few minds along the way. |
